Check these guys out. They are AMAZING!!! They aren't really indie, they are sort of alternative, and are entirely unique. Very relaxing, other-worldly music. I've started getting into them recently through the album 'Takk'. They are the only genuinely unique band around at the moment.

Sigur Rós are an absolutely amazing Icelandic band. Not to be compared to Björk (because of the Icelandic roots), they sometimes sing in Icelandic or Vonlenska (Hopelandic is the English translation). Hopelandic would be a form of syllable-based singing in which they have composed themselves. *click on Vonlenska for a Wikipedia link. My favorite Rós albums would have to be Takk... and () (Untitled). My favorite songs: Sæglópur, Takk..., Glósóli, Hoppípolla, and Með Blóðnasir. The Hoppípolla video is exceptional.
