I dont get it. Why is there a black entertainment television.. and not a white one.. and dont say all of the other channels are white because they can be whatever they want its not like theres a color to them. i also dont get the whole black history month thing.. im not racist at all i like people of all races, but im just trying to understand why when it comes to somthing being black it has to stand out like that and have its own thing by itself. anybody else feel this way
? any other comments would be great

B.E.T. was planned and developed. W.E.T. could be made, but wasn't, still could though.

although, black history month is different.

 

black history was not being taught, and everything was coming from a euro-white perspective, so they made a month to try to draw attention to the neglected aspects of american history

most programmes have a tocken black charater, who usually isn't that well written, look at desparate housewives, they introduced a black family at the end of season one when they knew they where doing well aqnd it wouldn't damage the programme and the black family storyline turned out to be one of the worst story lines they have done so far.
the Media is still dominated by white middle class story lines
