I'm thinking about getting a vertical labret piercing but there are some questions i'd like answered first so i'm hoping someone here can help me out.

    1. If i decide to take it out one day will i be left with a scar or mark on my lip?
    2. Are you able to kind of bend your lip while you have it in?

    THANKS!

    :)

    Vertical labret?

...I've never even heard of that. I'm assuming it goes through your actual lip and not the skin under your lip?

Eurgh. Just get a labret and wear a monroe hoop and you'll get the same kinda look.

I had double verticals in my bottom lip but removed them for a suit job I got a while back (angled through the flesh like / \ but actually even...). Anyway, they leave scar tissue pretty well enough. I have dots just barely below my bottom lip. Also, my top lip has scar tissue, though not very vissibly noticeable, I can feel the bumps when I run my tongue over 'em. And when my lips get chapped they peel awkwardly. As for whether or not it stiffens the lip, the answer is yeah, it does a bit, but it's bearable after the inital stage of healing. One of my favorite things to do was rotate them as they have the crescent bars. Felt good.

Overall, the scarring is that bad, the dots aren't that noticeable, and I recieved a lot of compliments on my piercings. Plus, kissing was an absolute bonus. If they nibble, though, watchout. It can hurt...

    Thanks so much for that!
I'm so happy someone FINALLY answered my questions.
I still need to have a serious think about whether or not i want to get it done.

    Peace :)

Not a problem. You've actually inspired me to get the redone, haha. I'd forgotten how much I liked 'em...

I can show you pics of when I had it done the previous time, if you'd like.
