I just saw this movie. I loved it but the part when geroge hanson dies is kinda sad. And the part when they are tripping. What are your thoughts on this movie?

I was your age when this movie first came out and had to talk my father into taking me and my brother to see it since it was rated R.

It's a great period piece about the 60s, showing bikers, hippies and 60s-style rednecks, and in all cases showing there are good and bad people among them. Great scenery, well-written, good characters and an awesome soundtrack! I love this movie!

I like this film :) I have seen it a good few times. I also studied this film for my Final year at uni dissertation (The Representation of the 1960s American Counter-Culture in Film). It is an interesting film if you read about it :) I likes :)

One of my faves... I love Jack Nicholson's character... that scene where they all light up in the desert and start talking about UFOs cracks me up every time! Apparently they were all actually loaded when they shot the scene and jack kept laughing about the "all walks of life" line. if you watch closely you can see he starts to laugh just as he says it, and then they cut away... hehe... now whenever i hear that phrase i start laughing too!

and it amazes me how they actually used REAL people in the scene in the diner with the rednecks and highschool girls and the dudes in the pickup truck at the end were just fellas they found in the street! surreal...

It's a great movie, though the ending is sad... I think that this movie reflects the spirit of 60s the best and not only because it was filmed in the 60s.
