Okay I really just want to go away. Somewhere new, start over. Im in college taking a course i REALLY DONT LIKE, I have one month left. I havnt applied myself at all this semester because I cant get into it. Now Im sitting in class worrying over that I missed a field trip yesterday cause I didnt check my email, and now my teacher thinks I may have plagiarised one of my papers which is most definately would never do. Im living with 8 students, one of whom I just had a falling out with, Im very homesick, but mostly I just crave adventure and activity and travel and mind expansion. Gah. I have never, my whole life, been able to have my taste for freedom and adventure quieted and im just like being so pushed away from all of this and at times it makes me incredibly depressed and I dont think many would understand because I dont think im even capable of describing how I feel to my liking. Not to mentionI entered a school election for Director of Student Awareness, which is sweet, but I dont care for anymore because I cant stand to re-enter my course again next year. Which Im not even sure Ill pass. Gah .
Best of luck man. Went through the same thing about 3 years ago. Was failing at school... Didn't have anyone who really understood where I was coming from... felt like I just had to go away. Best advice I can give, stay in school, get a degree, feed the coffers for a little while longer. Get your degree, then travel, and find what makes you happy and live for it.
I'm sorry school isn't going well for you... I wish I had answers, but I don't. I've been counting down the days until summer vacation ever since I got back from spring break, but... maybe it's possible to try to enjoy the time left while it's here? If you have spare time, you might try doing something fun, like drawing, listening to music, going for a walk, or learning to knit. Or, if you want "mind expansion," you could try reading a book that you choose (not some boring teacher-assigned thing). None of these things will solve your problem of being dissatisfied with school, but they might make your time left there a little less boring. Anyway, I don't really know what I'm talking about, because I'm not enjoying school, either. I've been trying to survive one day at a time, counting down days, listening to good music, and imagining all of the fun things I'll do over the summer. That has helped a bit. Maybe I'll try more of my own suggestions...
man that sucks and i can totaly understand how u feelin..but then again the best advice i can think is you should get you'r degree and then do what you really wish of you'r life..it will be much easier eventualy..i wish you best of luck
Ive definitley had similar feelings before, just wanting to get out and away and open up my mind, all those urgings, frustration, confusion- I know the feelings very well....and now Im in Germany! I decided to go on an exchange trip to Germany, and Im now living in Berlin for a year. Im getting towards the end of my trip, I leave in July back for the US....its been such an amazing time!! Im not going to lie though, its definitley not easy leaving everything behind for a year, you definitley go through phases of cultural adjustment (which sounds like bullshit before ya go, but once you get to another country and live there for a while and all the little differences start to get to you, and then you get discouraged and want to go back home, and then you keep on fighting anyway, for some reason that even you dont know, and then suddenly when you least expect it everything just clicks.). Its been a huge growing and learning experience for me, beyond learning the language of course, I mean personality-wise. Ive had some of the craziest most intense feelings, and questioned all aspects of myself, like why I am like I am, and why Ive done what Ive done so far in life, and just everything. Like I said, while its such an amazing, life changing, priceless, beautiful experience, you also have to deal with hard times (but its all in your head, its a battle against your emotions and notions about life). Sorry I just blabbed so long. My point is, if you have an urge, and what youre doing now isnt what you want, then finish up your semester, and get away! Listen to the calls youre hearing. I dont know if I necessarily agree with the "just get your degree" advice, I mean, its not that I think you shoudlnt get a degree, its just that I think if youre not happy at the moment, you should be going out and doing something else already then. Try going abroad. Try it with your college if they have options, or look at the exchange organizations AFS and YFU, they have 13th year abroad where people done with high school can go. you haveta pay though, about 6,000 dollars atleast. but its for a year and its really an amazing experience, and youll learn alot about yourself and what you want.
I know how you feel, sister. I feel like going and getting lost right now. Just go somewhere, and not tell anyone. But with school, if you really want to get out there and see the world for yourself instead of through a textbook, maybe you should take some time off and go travel. Besides, you'll never be 19 again
Maybe you're taking the wrong classes? wrong school? wrong friends? Adjust your surroundings, since you're kind of stuck there... Do what makes you happy, make your own small adventures... wish ya all the love ^_^

classes are over soon for you aren't they?..i'll be done sometime in april i think...couple weeks away i plan on traveling...i want to go across canada and the states..where i dunno i wasn't really gonna set too many plans just see where i am taken by the raods i want to go to australia, wanna come with me to oz?
