Too much watt?

Can you have too much watt when using indoor lighting? Was considering using a floodlight with 150 watt, bad idea? Im guesing they produce a lot of heat and is the type of light they produce even any good?

Those are halogen lights, which will do nothing for cannabis. You need some Flourescents or High Pressure Sodium. Halogen lights do not put out the right spectrum of light for the plant to grow. It might work for a bit, but you won't get anything worth wasting your time on. And plus they put out a TON of heat.
