I dated my friend for a long time, and love her a lot, but ... She is totally against marijuana / hashish and said I would stop. One side of me said I should respect her and stop it, but the other side says, I must do what I like, and that is smoking marijuana. I tried to explain to her that this is not too bad, but she was stuck in a mindframe that it is too bad for me. In you opinion, what should I do?

do what your heart tells you ... you should do. If she respects you enough for you smoking it she'd stay with you. If you like her enough quit. theres 2 sides you know !!!

You just have to choose. In real life it sometimes comes down to the decision. If you can not respect her opinion then you just have to say that the two of you are not compatable at this time. Most of the time if people disagree over a major issue the relationship will fail anyway. So either give it up(if you can't live without her) or move on(if you can't or don't want to live without the bud). If you want a girlfriend that is cool with smoking out then find one that is from the start, you will save yourself a lot of grief.
