Calgary has a suprisingly kickass bar scene for a city so full of lame hockey fans. All the girls dress like slutty cowgirls, all seem to have blonde hair and big tits, and all seem to try to drink the bar dry. Plus, in half the clubs, you get shitty country music (which is still a million times better than your run-of-the-mill Justin Timberlake club music). Try to time your trip for either Stampede or Playoffs... Although it looks like Calgary is tanking in the playoff race (only 4 points ahead of Colorado at this time.
Yeah I ended up in Calgary for 5 days, went to a few bars, went to Banff, was nice there. I'm going to stop over at Calgary again this year, July, but for maybe only a couple of days, maybe go to a Flames vs Red Wings game ( go Red Wings, Flames suck! ).
Sorry to dog Calgary, I live here. I would say, go to Vancouver. Calgary has to be one of the most boring cities in Canada. It's just one city in the largest trailer park in Canada "Alberta" go to Banff, Jasper.
What to do in Calgary...? Buy a plane ticket to another country, get on the plane, goodbye Calgary, goodbye Canada.
i drivethrough calgary twice a year ..on the way to work and on the way back ..seems like a nice enough city as far as cities go ..a lot cleaner than some of the ones i been through
Well according to Forbes. Calgary ranks number one in the world, for being the cleanest city. As for what there is to do there? Drive up to Edmonton. A real Alberta city. Or head west to anywhere in BC.
What? Vancouver was ranked #3 in living standards but what's this about Calgary being the cleanest? If anything, Geneva is the cleanest.
To be fair, Calgary's infrastructure is completely inept. Too much growth, too fast. The problem applies to pretty much the whole of Alberta, really.

Haha, They are right there really isn't much to do in this city. Maybe go to some of our gallerys, go floating down the river. The only thing in this city I enjoy is the riva. Walkin' through the bush. Actually a couple days ago me and my boy took another one of our long ass walks by the river and walked in on 13 deer grazing. it was neat, one got 4 feet from my boy. Let see, don't go to the zoo, not only because zoo's in general suck but ours REALLY sucks. Trying to come in during stampede. That's the only fun this city can really have.
