Well, who was it again who had the biggest empire in the world? The British took and took when they could. Unfortunatly for your country they decided to try to fight our independece. Yea, sorry about the hard feelings there. America will never occupy the amount of land the Brittish took from people. You think that the you have paid your debt to America? By what sending 3,000 troops to patrol areas that are peaciful? Maybe you should look harder at the sacrafices we made freeing Europe. I will give you a clue, there were at lot more Americans lost. Paid us back. Huh, what a joke, that you are even still a country is solely because of us. Tax our products and try to run us into the ground, you will need us again one day. We have old fashioned views of the world. I have a hard time taking any country seriously that still bows down to a queen based on nothing more then some old bloodline. My theory is that the radical left had to look for a new way to attack capitalism and the west after the spectacular failure of communism and socialism. So they turned to the environmental movement.

 

You want the rest of the world to double taxes on the trillion dollars of goods the USA exports? What would be the effect on Nigerias next farming season if they had to pay double taxation for imported farming equipment from the USA?

And 'fuck the USA... we Europeans have such a great impact on the enviornment' isn't true for one. Secondly a country which doesn't have the industry base that the USA has isn't going to be affected so severly by more intense carbon caps.

The USA should pursue a policy to lower their carbon footprint while keeping their industrial base growing. And you sound so angry when you talk, it makes reasoned discussion impossible. Chill out and go play in the sun for 5, then type.

 

I agree, that and trying to convince us that we are terrible occupiers that distroy countries for no reason. Every major European country has been occupiers and for much longer then the US. The only reason their polution is lower is because they don't have as much industry, not cleaner industry. They now want us to self hate, maybe for some but not myself. Its all just propaganda agaisnt the US. Get your people to hate the US and they will ignore that 20-50% of them are unemployed and growth is stagnating.

 

I agree but that doesn't mean entering into agreements in which we just give more money to other countries to buy Carbon credits. That money is better spent investing in new tech which we are doing.

You indict our "no such agency" while not recognizing your intelligence agencies who are aligned with and use the same tactics as the US. You're so quick to pin America with all of the ills of the world but your country is not some bastion of progressivism in environmental issues.

However, I do look upon many of my fellow countrymen with indignation at their ignorance and pure non caring attitudes about sustainable development and other green issues. The USA certainly has a large problem, but it will take us working together as a global community to change the tides towards a healthier earth.
China needs some strong motivation to change their ways as well....and it is true that the USA's heavy reliance on their cheap labor and goods is a part of that problem.

Growing up aroud bazaars and seeing tourism come and flow from the middle east, I'll tell ya this.
they don't car about your money, they care about the value of it. Tourists are like the biggest suckers, and americans are like the creme de la creme. I saw one buy a broken vase from a neighbor for the equivilent of 70 bux (a lot in the region).

Basically what ended up happening was the guy came in with a group and started doey-eying the jewelry. Ansaar sold him a neklace and a scarf for over 60 dollars, he got the watch from a cousin as a gift for a fight they had, he bought it from some store for what I'd think would amount to a few pennies. when it comes to tourist, you could charm the pants off them, and if that doesn't work, you act offended at some contrived cultural difference and they'll buy your whole store to apologize! suckers
