it's been 1 month 17 days since lock up. happy unbirthday matlocks! i never knew it would be so difficult to take a photo of the behind of ones head. i haven't rolled in quite a few days as i'm sick as hell....and rolling is quite the upper body work out haha....i kinda prefer just letting 'em be anyways

I totally agree!! That was one hell of a good backcombing job! Mine are 3 months and dont look anywhere near as good! Did someone do it for you or did you backcomb it all yourself?
wow thank you all so much for the compliments, it's funny because i get discouraged daily by my dreads and i refuse to wear them down!! They're usually tucked up in a bandana or a tuque. My boyfriend gets very very annoyed with me and the amount of incessant whining i carry on with about how stupid i look. haha My best friend actually did them for me.....he didn't "backcomb" but he just used his hands to tease and rip and roll. I'm not even exactly sure what he did because i couldn't see him, but it was painful and it took a very long time.

absolutely wear them down.. in fact wear em down & go out on the town & see if ya dont get a dozen or so "nice dreads" from random strangers.. ya look amazin
OMG you look amazing!!! WORK THAT SHIT! Seriously, show 'em off. I agree with whoever said they're jealous b/c yours look so good at such a young age...mine are almost exactly the same age as yours and half of them are still stringy little matted up things.
i think that's just how it happened....i have a lot a lot a lot of hair, so that prolly had something to do with it. some of them at the back & bottom of my neck are really thin. I don't mind though...they get thin before they get big again anyways.
