Or maybe you dream you're alive and that really now we are the creation of someones dream and we're just living the dream.
i also think that when u die, thats it. nothing happens. kinda like before you were born, but never to be born again. trippy thing to thuink about when high, makes you kind of scared
I for one belive that there is a God and there is a heaven. I really doubt that if we die we will just rot and never exist, then what was the point of life? So once everyone dies, nothing happens right? Seriousl, how can evolution just break out of no where and sudently throw all living creatures with such complexity out of thin, well, nothing really.
we are simply chemical reactions, totally biological. there is no spirit, or soul, or watever. once our heart stops beating, there is nothing. Since all of the messages in our brain have stopped, there is no sleep or dreaming or anything like that. i know a lot of people dont like that answer, but i do. I live life like im gonan die tomorro, because what if i did. I know it sounds selfish, but if i go down on my bike, and die, it wont affect me. People aroun d me would be sad, but i dont worry about it. when it happens, it happens.
^ the point of life is: *drum roll* there is no point of life. its an opportunity to do whatever the fuck you want, live however the fuck you want and then die, being either happy that uve lived such a memorable and great life, or be scared shitless at the fact that u pretty much wasted it. its up to you whther you wana use ur chance with such restrictions that religion applies and all. i personally cant even imagine how someone could believe in good, it seems so strange to me, like 5year olds believing in santa because theire parents told them. well ppl grow out of santa beliefs, but religion???? c,mon people same thing just the government and the people of alot higher status and politcal business take the role of ur parents see
Well believe whatever you want. but I'm telling you there is a God and that we are definitly not just a bunch of 5 year olds for believing in God, it's called the Bible, Q'ran. Just because when we die and our hearts stop beating, does not mean we have no soul. You're blinded by science and only believe the things you can see in your eyes. We do not even know what's out of our soloar system, so how can you be so judgeamental and say when you die, it's all over?
i have somethin else to think about lol i dont mean this in a religious way its just the only word that i can think of to describe it and its soul, when we first start living like when we are first developing in the womb what makes us live? i mean i know that its all our organs working in perfect timing and all that but what makes them just all of a sudden start working? what tells them just exactly how to work? what makes them take the exact shape and form that they do? what makes all the organs a different thing? is it our soul? and if it is our soul then what would happen to our soul after death? ive got myself actually kinda believing in reincarnation for the first time iono lol i dont even know if ppl can understand what im gettin at but ahh its just my point of view anyway and everyone has their own i guess
interesting! but, think about a plant. how does a plant know how to grow? how does it know when to bud, or bloom. does a plant have a soul? just some stuff to think about
dam.mabey we do just die.liike some of the people were saying already ,what makes our death any different than a bugs or animal's?perhaps we just think there might b something else simply because we are smart enuff to do so.Just because we happen to be the smartest living things on our planet doesint nessarily mean that we have some kind of privelage to overcome death and have a after life or b re-inacrnated.
Does anyone remember that Joe Rogan rant about DMT? Well, DMT is a chemical that makes you hallucinate at a ridiculous level. It is naturally produced by your brain during REM sleep and when you die. People who take this consciously are often times transported to other dimensions where they talk to beings made out of energy and probably a whole slew of other crazy things. It really reminds me of when the first Buddha reached Nirvana. His description of this other world is very much like the Beatles song about acid, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Anyway, I have a vague idea about the 'Afterlife'. I think that when your brain floods itself with DMT, it sort of creates a state of mind that is impervious to time, so that your mind is forever trapped in this trippy state for what seems like an eternity. When people try to describe their near-death experiences, usually they all contain some kind of white light, tunnel, and or being that tries to comfort them. When they finally regain consciousness they have no idea how long they were out. So this leads me to believe that 'eternity' is subjective, and that there isn't some 'netherworld' we all go to when we die. Instead its like an eternity of your creation, which could be good/bad depending on the state of your subconscious mind throughout your life. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- thats not my post, its from another forums thats currently having tha same thread.^^what do you guys think about that???
Nietzsche say: "there is no meaning to life other than what we give it. everything is inheriently without value, and only humans, as value-positing creatures, give it meaning." The reason that plants sprout, that babies are born, and that you develope is because of DNA. the reason species evolve is because of DNA. no 'soul' (which is an artificial concept). evolution does not mean that there is no creator, hell evolution implies the existence of a creator, however, it does completely disagree with the literal, genesis account of creation. faith is also irrational, believeing in something that you cannot prove is probably the defintion of irrationality. don't try and justify faith, and never try to prove it, because you can't. if you have faith, well, then i'm sorry for you, because it means that you will believe anything told forcefully enough.
i don't think it's the fact that we're going to die that scares us about death i think it's that we don't know what's going to happen it's the same with alot of other things too, like the first time you ever do something, you're usually a little afraid because you are unsure, it's probly the same with death but who really knows what it's like to be dead, no one has been able to tell anyone like i mean apart from those "near death experiences" where they "go towards the light" but they didn't actually die, so they really have no clue death is a wierd thing man
Well, that is completley incorrect. I discovered Allah through the Qu'ran on my own time and of my own free will. Actually, I felt Allahs prescence and was led to discover the Qu'ran afterwards, but that is besides the point. My faith is questioned every day but I try to hold strong. And I believe in nothing else that is not proven physically. So, a person having faith in something you do not believe in does not mean that the person will believe anything told forcefully enough. And on a more important note, Wu Tang foreva! 1
You want to knowwhat happens to plants and insects when they die? Abosolutely nothing. Plants were created by God which gave us our oxygen. Plants would not go to heaven because they basically have no free will. And I believe insects will just die and are put on Earth for a reason.
