Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, who is the so-called "mastermind" of al-Qaeda, has allegedly "confessed" to plotting the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He has also allegedly confessed to plotting the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, the beheading of journalist Daniel Pearl, the 2002 bombing of a Kenya resort, and the 2002 Bali nightclub bombings. He has allegedly confessed to plotting attacks on the Sears Tower in Chicago, the New York Stock Exchange, the Empire State Building, the Panama Canal, and Big Ben and Heathrow Airport in London.

On top of this he is behind the murder of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the sinking of the Lusitania, and the murder of the tooth fairy. (I am being sarcastic now.)

This is another example of just how low they think of the public's ability to think and reason, to expect people to believe such nonsense coming from a press release from a heavily-redacted secret military tribunal, allegedly of a man who was in US custody for four years, who was tortured and subjected to who knows what other forms of mind control.

They could come up with anything and most of the public will buy it. They could probably say drinking bleach is good for you and some people would believe it.

    That is very true, Rat.

The general public is naive to the point of embarrassment.

I did think it was a little to good to be true -and he 'claims' he signed the confession not under duress - either.

He might well be a cog in some or all of those things he claims he is responsible for - he might even be the mastermind. I'm sure the truth will never be known [or believed].

The first thought in my head was[as sad as this is]: i bet i know what PR will have to say. I'm not let down it seems. No offence. I'm a tad sceptical about it myself.

The thing is though he admitted to 911 involvement years ago in an interview with AL Jazeera, before he was captured.

So when you try to discredit this confession, you're just showing that as usual you haven't done your research. Your first reaction is always to rush over to Hipforums and call everything a conspiracy.

I'm sure Al Queda appreciates your efforts to cover for them at every opportunity.

wow, I hope people aren't this stupid. It becomes more obvious that everything is really fishy.

You are totally wrong about that ! Who do you think the public are - I mean youre one of em arent you ? Also when Einstein was alive he was one of the public - I have yet to find anyone that could say he was dumb AND prove it ! I think you will find that most of the public are in fact very intelligent but they are also powerless and without the means to actually fight the pressure to conform. Lets face it - given a choice between going out and earning enough to pay a mortgage or the rent - and going out protesting and rioting - they choose the safer option - quite apart from all those who are too busy raising kids and paying out the 3/4 Million that it takes per child to feed clothe and educate em for 16 years. I thinkl you will find infact that very few people out there are as dumb as you think they are and quite a few infact are a lot more intelligent than you and pressed rat will ever begin to understand
Most people just aint got the time because theyre too busy living to actually stop and bite the hand that feeds it ! Part the general public is after all franchised way up to their necks in this politics with a bank balance thats red and mortgage payments for the next 15 - 25 years

WHO GIVES A FLYING BONK WHETHER THE GUY DID IT OR NOT ?
They got him for a reason - whatever they dont like him for - how you gonna do anything about it - ????? whats your criteria for saying the public are dumb???

Because the GENERAL PUBLIC is dumb, ignorant, stupid, misinformed, brainwashed...whatever you want to call it. Sorry you take such offense but those are my feelings, for far too many reasons than I have the patience/time to list, if you disagree that's cool, I could care less. Personally I DO NOT consider myself part of the GENERAL PUBLIC, nor do I consider Einstein part of the GENERAL PUBLIC (more like academia). The GENERAL PUBLIC are sheep, not EVERYONE fits into the category of GENERAL PUBLIC, and yes, their are some very intelligent people in the GENERAL PUBLIC but they are intelligent in the ways they were TRAINED to be.
To clarify my statement, the GENERAL PUBLIC are the majority, not the totality.

I agree with Rob. I will always turn up my nose at the general population. it isn't really even a matter of opinion that most people are ignorant and totally unaware of how biased they are.

It's not limited soley to the US. People are uninformed everywhere you go, including in Canada. Being informed isn't knowing what the media tells you, it's what the media doesn't tell you. I am rather struck by the arrogance of Canadians like yourself, who somehow see themselves as superior to people in the US.

Oh, don't worry, I don't think Canada is much better.

Europe however, majority isn't as stupid.

I think the funniest thing to come out of it, and the most obvious, was the fact that when asked wether the torture may have affected how he answered the accusations, his answer was removed from the records.
