The second ones look a tad feminine, the first ones look like something Dylan would wear.

It's all good to me... I say buy both and be happy. :)

well, I'm buying one or the other. When I saw the non-cuban heel boots the first thing I said was "Exactley like dylan!"

I only wear Rockport Chukkas and Sperry Topsiders, for the most part. If I can find a nice old used pair of leather boots/shoes, I like going for those and I'm not picky when it comes to that, but when it comes to new shoes... I really only wear Sperry or Rockports (above)

Though, I do have an oldddddass pair of Red Wing Boots that I only wear for working and landscaping... and my white shrimp boots I used for working.

Now, if I was going to get a boot solely for hiking, I'd definately go for something like Merrill, but I like earthy all-purpose boot/shoe crossovers that are only one solid color, preferably tan, brown, or olive (haha... how specific can one get...?)

    :D Dangit.

I'm partial to Justins and Laredos, mainly because they're cheap for real leather boots, and they're practical. I couldn't tell if those are real leather, but even if they were, that price is horrendous. I'm a shoe woman, but I'd never in my life spend that much money on one pair of shoes.

Yeah, those were pretty ridiculous, pricewise... and I'm sure the quality won't be as up-to-par as it would be if you were able to find an identical boot by a better maker, but it's your money.

I'd rarely even pay that much for Red Wings and most materials that aren't genuine leather (and aren't natural) will secrete nasty oils and chemicals into your skin and cause some pretty bad burns. I know alot of the Wal-Mart-ish stuff is like that, but I have severely flat/deformed feet and I don't wear prescription footwear as it isn't hugely life-impacting or anything, besides that it'd probably make me trip over my other ankle if I ever had to run through the jungles of Nam or something...

I'm big on flip flops, too, but moreso for around the house. In fact, our entire house, except for the basement, which is carpeted, has hardwood floors, which is great for allergies and things, but it's kind of annoying when you walk over a portion that feels a bit grungy (in the same way as tile, vinlys, and composite flooring) if anyone misses a spot, so I like to wear flipflops in my house... my main shoes are usually the Sperries. I never wear socks unless I'm going to wear a high boot for a long period of time or if it dips below freezing. I prefer to just slip my sperries or some slippers on, in that case, as a cotton sock is more prone to persperate and not radiate the heat as well as natural material like leather. Wool is alright, but I'm not always a huge fan. I prefer hemp.

    Right now I'm barefoot.

Hahahaha, that's a blast from the past for me. I remember my one pair of "Beatle boots", made my feet hurt like hell but they worked great with the old Ludwig "Speed King" bass drum pedal. Had some fuzzy (early brushed denim?) bells, big ol' belt, and paisley shirt with big ol' sleeves to go with them. And beads! And a big old medallion on a chain, Flav-r-flav would have dug it. Ha ha, I was such a Dave-Clark-Five wannabe!
But, I mean, on you they look good.:jester:

Don't take it hard, I'm just funnin' you.

oh eah, they are pretty expensive. I probley won't order from there. Noe only because of the price, but my shoe size various so much from shoe to shoe that ording online just si'n practical. I just wanted opinons style wise. It looks like I'm gonna get the dylan ones. I've also seen them in suede, but I really dig leather.
