Is Sex Just A Animal Instinct Or A Art??

i heard the same thing! i think it a bit of an urban myth though.
Sure there are apes, namely the bonobo is one horney motherfucker, quite litterally!

Also there are things like homosexuallity in nature, i'm sure we've all see dogs hump one another sometime.
Or Cows (&bulls) but also birds & stuff. A biologist once told me this was highly under documented, or under researched...shows what we "know" about anything really...

Instinct or art?

I'd like to think so.
Sure you can have sex to procreate, but also to recreate

Why put labels to sex as art of animal instinct. Everything you do as a human is instinctive. And if you'd like to put that more into an art form, you still can. So I'd go with instinct than anything else.

Some of the know-how when it comes to sex may be seen as a talent, and therefore possibly an art, but at it's base, sex is a natural desire/instinct. Since we are basically just very intelligent animals (ok, with spirits maybe), it is an animal instict.

It is many other things though. For one, it is the deepest form of communication between two people. Also, it is one of the most intimate.
