Some people's thinking contradicts their natural instincts because they have been brainwashed into thinking unnaturally and not depending on their primal instincts by society.

Who we are as a majority is greedy, ignorant pigs. You can call me a cynic, but for many people, war is as natural as is thinking. If our minds allow us to war, then it's natural: by your theory.

I'm no advocate of war. I'm far from it. But before we can achieve 'peace' we must understand our own natural flaws. Don't think for a minute I'm a warmonger, or a racist; because I'm most definitely not.

    Warmonger!

    Racist!

    Ha!

    :D

Seriously though, I think was is one of our biggest unnatural flaws. It is not natural for an animal to destroy its own species in such great amounts. It's not two lions fighting over a female, it's much much much more global than that, and this takes the natural aspect out of it.

What about insects? They invade each others colonies and slaughter the whole of the nest quite often.

Testosterone, one male demands prominance over another. War is all about power of one male over another.

    Indeed...

Us men are troubled by difference.

"Hey, your a different height from me, I MUST OPRESS YOU"

    See what I mean...

Davina mcoll once said "whist men bomb the shit out of each other, women talk it over a cup of tea and a playdate with their children.

You see, world peace is also rather utipic... for the same reasons. People do not believe in peace, practically no one does. It's nice for people to say "peace this and that", but world peace would also mean religious freedom, unconditional acceptance of others, and so on. Humanity is not CLOSE to being ready for that.

Basic survival necessity. Plus, it is still not even close to the scale on which humans do it considering the population difference.

Peace is hard because there aren't enough peace-loving folks to get the "thousand monkeys" effect (i.e if enough people support it and encourage others to support it, the effect will be exponential). basically a scientificish way of putting all the New Age people's theory that we have to "raise the planetary consciousness" or something along those lines.

War is natural for some people, man. Some people think they can solve their problems with violence-- "These people wont listen to me. I guess I'll have to shoot them."

Other people have the ability to realize that there is a better Way-- "These people won't listen to me. Maybe I should listen to them."

However, who can tell who is who? In a society that treats violence as everyday...on the news we hear all the time: "Todaytherewerefivecarbombingstwelveamericansoldierskilledinbaghdadohisntthatterriblenowbacktoyoukim."

And most people stop considering whether violence is the right course to stay.

    Thankyou so much xD

War waged among ourselves is not at all natural. Hate isnt natural, nor is violence. Such things are not essentials in the "humin experience". They have no place in our subsistence.

When a person is born, there isnt any inbred need for wanton destruction >.< If anything, we're born in a state of neutrality.

Gandhi considered nonviolence to be the law of our species.

In fact, everyone needs to do some research and Gandhi. He's being forgotten, I think. People see him as a great man, yeah...but thats it. No one ever truly gets the message.

Peace is hard to achieve because you need ppl to be tollerant of eachother and able/willing to talk to eachother.

Problem is it is easy to hate and to put ppl down. It gives certain ppl an ego boost and makes them feel special. Sad thing is this won't be solved soon, violence is an easy answer for ppl it is easier then talking or willing to talk. It will take alot of effort to get ppl to accept oneother.

Whenever some feel they can obtain more power, whether it be money or just control there is a certain mindset that will try to obtain that any cost. I guess it makes them feel more like "MEN". Guess they must not have much else to give them self confidence.
