i thought ya'll would love this! this is a site called "internet archives" that has live music and recordings you can download for free. there is an recording of little hawk telling stories on it from several years ago. any of us that have gotten near him on his good days have heard some of these stories. thanks hippie-in-my-head for finding this. this is the link:

by the way, this site has the now famous micheal franti steamboat springs show from right after the 2006 colorado gathering too.

I thought Ocala was great. But there was a lot of dumb things going on in the woods.I dont look at the dumb things.I look at people comming togeather to put out a large fire. Not sure how the fire started. But every one came togeather with help from a helicopter scooping watter out of the lake to put it out.And the anousment of no more road blocks from the cops(Singed by a fed judge)Great naws for all.Sarah would like to say think you for the best time of her life and that she loves all.And Hillbilly what were you thinking??????Cars dont belong at Maine circle.Still love you brother. And to all babalonians, Alchol stays at parking lot.Gatherings are not a excuse for a big party. It is for the practice of peace and love.So be kind and love one another.-----Peace and Love---Jodys camp and co

It was a usual Ocala gathering and as usual,I also had a Great Time. That is what I choose to do,so if you want to put it down, that's your free will choice.
"Happy Trails" and those trails will always bring me to Ocala on Valentines Day.

the reason you have for being honest is understandable and we DO need to hear this. however, it's not wise to try and fight negativity with negativity. i met a couple folks in particular in Ocala last month that seemed to get off from flying off the handle. it's important to keep your head together because making a difference is hard to do when you're panicing. remember the H.G.T.G.? "Don't Panic"

i have mixed feelings regarding my first Ocala Gathering, this year 2007. i'm so very glad i was blessed enough to make it. i met a lot of good family, i encountered a substantial amount of "wanna-be's" or "say-so's". i was glad that my electric guitar was welcomed warmly and i wasn't cast out for "bringing Babylon" into the woods, come on....

i do want to express particularly the things that i felt were harmful to be at our gathering, at our church if you will. there was an overwhelming sense of entitlement that SO MANY young folks were permeating. i know how "nic-at-nite" works but, the shouting became too much in my opinion when some would bitch and moan that NOOO TOBACCOOOO was around. ya know, just get up and walk to a camp or walk until you find some. don't just expect EVERYTHING to be brought to you at your very whim. it goes without saying, i could've done to see less alcohol, beer cans on the trail, agro drinkers getting a little loud around their camp. and i don't mean at A-camp, i'm talking a couple hundred feet from main circle, south gate was pretty well under control. i give BIG CUDOS to south gate for managing to have a lot of booze around but still have nearly no incident. i had a few beers down there on a couple nights and when i saw anyone start to spark the agro fire, it was quickly defused, for the most part.

i DO have a problem with the jokes about very hard drugs and sex around little children @ trade circle, and also around Main Circle. i know a joke is just a joke but, sometimes it's a glimpse into what someone takes seriously. i don't want to sound like i'm preaching but, those jokes took another level for me when one night, i found an empty bag of coke laying in the dirt around main circle. something tells me it's not a coincidence that i happened to be hunkered down for a moment in the area of the circle where the crack and heroin comments were originating.

for these reasons, i'm going to be very careful about which gatherings i decide to bring my friends to, to try to turn onto Rainbow b/c the manner that i could see the ideals of Rainbow manifest itself in Ocala, were in the words of the disappointed elders. oh, and the fire really helped too. everyone that was on that movie, i love you all. my camp was just 200 feet from that and i didn't even realize it until after we put the damn thing out. but yeah, the fire gave us all a chance to SEE which of us are members of the family that contribute and those that just drain and come the woods to buy doses right away.

lazy, do you know what they say about people who point a finger at others? there's three pointing back at yourself. we're not here to make negetive comments at every person who opens their mouth. please, use words of love like, "I LOVE YOU!!!!!!"

i love you i love you
