I've noticed that whenever I'm high and I go to Taco Bell I always order the same items. Perhaps it's just my personality, but I don't seem to eat any new food when high. I think it's because I don't know exactly what it is I'm eating or how it's supposed to taste so I don't know how to properly experience it. What's worse is that I can't even decide if I like it. A more radical example of my idea is this: I'm blazed out of my mind and want a glass of milk, but upon looking at the label I notice the use by date is today, so I'm not sure if it's good or not. Upon tasting it, I cannot determine it's freshness either. It seems that if I confidently tell myself it's fine, then it tastes fine, but if I have any doubts, it takes a turn to the sour side. Now that example doesn't include new food, but the characteristics of judgement are the same. It seems contradictory in my mind, that cannabis opens my creativity and increases my senses, yet new experiences of that sort seem unwelcomed, but perhaps it's just me. Similar for anyone else?
that milk thing reminds me of something i read in a book. "one of the many dangers of marijuana is the power it gives you to control parts of your body you normally can't, such as stopping your heart from beating, resulting in death."
is there any way you could dig up a link to that book. i'd be interested in knowing what the authors were smoking, cause it ain't pot. didja know that around 90% of what we percieve isn't actually what we are pecieving? you see, your mind would become overwhelmed sensing everything around you, so it screens out the pertinent info (stuff that's moving, threats, etc) and uses your memory to fill in the rest. the human eye is blind when it is moving, whatever you see when you move it is really just a product of your imagination... and humans are pretty picky with our food. we want to know that by eating this we'll be allright, so we tend to go with food we've had before. this is probably an evolutionary hangover from the days we picked fruit from trees for nutrition. eat the wrong berry and boy you be fucked...
^^^ I second that. A lot of times when I have the muchies I'll start thinking that I want one thing, and then another, and another. Sometimes I'll combine 2 or 3 things that don't normally go together just because they sound good or because I want them both at the same time. This happened to a roommate of mine a few weekends ago and now she mixes her pancake batter with scrambled eggs and puts ketchup and syrup all over them.
When I get the munchies, i'll sit on my floor and just start digging into where all my food is haha. Most times i'll eat something salty and crunchy first, like chips or something, and then after that i'll eat something sweet like poptarts or candy, and then switch between the two until i'm not hungry anymore haha
next time i'm at the library i will scribble down the authors name and book title. I remember there being a few phone numbers at the back of the book that you could call for additional information. The author did a series of books on most drugs, all filled with completely bullshit information.
yeah, i love the board walk fries with old bay, at the 30th street station in philly.... though i would never eat them now-a-days, they where awesome back in the day!!!
im exactly like hippieatheart lol ill eat something really salty and then somethin really sweet or the other way around until im not hungry anymore
Yup, guess it's just me then. Makes sense though, I'm incredibly picky about what I eat. I'm the only Paddy/Scot I know that doesn't like corned beef or potatoes.
na its not just you. I usually always eat the same exact thing when i go out to eat and i do the same thing with the milk but lately ive been living dangerously and said fuck it and drank it anyway.
