No. Suspension piercings are far deeper, with far bigger needles, and in specific places were the weight can be borne appropriately.
I could probably do it, but I don't think I'd want to. I do think some lacework is very pretty though, including that picture.
Maybe if it wouldn't get caught on all kinds of shit and get ripped out. Maybe if I wanted to deal with constantly rejecting surface piercings. Maybe if getting about 20 piercings along my sides could be permanent and not just for the fuck of it, because you can't put captive hoops in surface piercings.
form what I understand, they are rather shallow piercings (more like when you slide a sewing needle under your skin...and don't feel it) and are less noticable than a typical fresh piercing.
Most people on this thread don't seem to realize that these are NOT intended to be permanent! It's a temporary thing only. I would definitely consider doing a corset, but then I'd like to do a suspension someday.
I adore corset piercings. Ive always admired them, and Ive always kind of wanted to do them, but I am a total wuss and I would need them to all be done at once and finding 20 or more piercers in one area that can work in an inch-long space is erm... very, very difficult. I saw a picture of a young woman who had temporarily sewn tiny bells into her back for a party, it was so gorgeous.
