So I was talking to a friend earlier about thinking, and tried to think of nothing but realised I was thinking about not thinking about anything, so was thinking of something which isn't nothing. Queston: If you literally aren't thinking of anything do you die, and how do you start thinking of something again? Or do you live and just see lots of crazy colours? Can someone give me some crack?
It'd be pretty hard to think about nothing I'd say. Though if you did, if you could truly reach that perfect meditative state, you wouldn't die. There's plenty that your brain controls in the background without you thinking about it. You don't think your heart to beat. When you sleep, you don't think about breathing. Welcome to the forums by the way!
its really hard to think about nothing, i supose meditation is thinking about nothing as you have to really clear your mind. i'd love to be able to meditate but i just find it so hard to not think, i try to focus on something but then i always end up thinking. i think far too much, that much i worrie about stupid little things. i keep getting told by doctors & a few meadiums i've been to see that i need to find a way to switch off otherwise i'm going to make my self ill.
