Hello everyone! I am finally going to go to Amsterdam after not being back there since I was about 13 years old and really could not experience the city the way I plan to this go around. It will be myself and a buddy of mine and we really want to hit some clubs and coffee shops and just party for a week! I have looked on here and most of the postings for where to go and what to do seem to be a little dated? Can someone on here who is familiar with the city please help me out? Like mentioned above, we just want to go to some clubs, meet some chicks and have a great time. Any help would be greatly appreciated and we would love to meet up with any other americans that will be in the area while we are there. We are set to leave January 18th and departing the following Saturday, the 27th. Look forward to it and hope to meet some others on here while I am there!

Ok, so I have been on the "who's in town" page and that is very cool. However, I cannot figure out what the point of that is exactly other than to see who is going. The people on those lists are from all different forums and there seems to be no way of communiting with them other than the chat room where nobody ever is!

With that said, can I begin some dialogue with those that will be there between the 18th to the 27th on here? I would just like to meet up with some fellow members that know the area well and could possibly point us in the right direction. Thanks.

Have you tried http://forum.channels.nl/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=8 . If not , give it a try. I'll be there in Feb. lil too late to have a smoke with ya,but you'll find many people who will point you in the right direction at most coffeeshop's.

Take a copy of a book called Party Amsterdam & Germany with you. It will give you the run down on clubs, bars, coffee shops, etc. Sounds like it's exactly what you're looking for.

Hi! I just got back (last night) and posted some of my thoughts here

Try Kandinsky and Greenhouse. Both opposites, and both really cool.
