That happens to me all the time. Like about 10 months ago I never knew what the word sketch meant. Then a friend of mine explained it to me and I started using it, then everyone started saying it, was really weird, I donno if my friend and I popularized it, or if I just now started hearing it, weird indeed.

That happened to me too a few years ago, but it was the word "misdemeanor". I heard a song from Missy "misdemeanor" Elliot, and I didn't know what that was, but after that I recognized it on the Tv all the time.
