In the end we're just one big blue beautiful planet, with no borders why can't we just love eachother?
coz it's not in human nature- being peaceful all the time but no, there are millions borders in this beautiful blue planet - the borders people create to limit themselves
exactly, we create our own borders. Life would be so much easier if we all accepted each other.. Acceptance and tolerance are the first steps to peace.. lets teach by example.. love and accept everyone.. peace to all.
it isn't that peace is so hard to achieve, it's that it's so easy for one asshole to come along and mess it up. we WERE on the verge of peace breaking out all over in 2000 when everyone was all excited about the millinium. remember that? a whole six years ago? (and the a.h. in question wasn't named ben laudin or hussain either, whatever they might or might not also have been) what is more of a challange to acheive is a way to prevent peace from being sabotaged, disrupted and destroyed. and so far neither weakness nor streingth nor any one idiology nor belief has proven equal to the task. t.r.'s "walk softly and carry a big stick" sounded good, but i can't see as that having worked either. then again, while i've seen a lot of "big sticks" being "carried", i haven't in all honesty, can't really say as i have, seen a whole lot of really and truely "walking softly"! =^^= .../\...
Ahh the melemium, We all said we we're gonna acthive world peace and the future would be bright..... Untill november, when bush got in, and 9/11, and the OTT reasponce TO 9/11, and Afghanistan, Iraq...... We could atcheive world peace, but not in this political climate
if we could feel at peace with ourselves then maybe we could feel at peace with others. I just don't think that a whole lot of people are at peace with themselves right now.
Lots of things create jons... like government programs. Hey, why not waste government money on that instead of war if jobs are a priority!... Hmm....
I dissagree. I don't think war is natural. I think it's natural to feel a sense of territory and I think it's natural to feel a sense of belonging but war and destruction I don't think are naturally part of us. War has come about as part of evolution - I don't think that it neccesarily is a part of us though. Whichever way you look at it war is wrong, killing is never the answer. The pain it causes. Imagen if every person killed was a close friend or relative of yours. "Imagen a generation brought up completely ignorant of violence. A generation completely absent of all weapons. A generation that has never even seen a blade before. A generation that doesn't even know what it means to hit another" - J.Pickering (Great wisdom in that I thought). "Education is the key" - J.Pickering
Because there are so many people out there who just don't want peace. Religious fanatics, government, greed...there are multiple reasons for ignorance and war.
