    hockey cards! LOL

yep, fuck anyone who ever collected any sort of cards knows the feeling and anticipation of opening a new pack to find out who you get

in the last 2 weeks i've spent like 350+ on hockey cards, today completeing the first series of this Seasons upper deck collection

as well as buying a 95$ Roberto Luongo rookie card hahah

    FUCK I'M ADDICTED

PS. it's the anticipation/feeling of opening a new back is much heightened by the addition of weed LOL

I had a billion cards when I was but a wee laddie. Man i used to have the pokemon games on gameboy color and everything. One day, me and an old friend were really really stoned, and we found my old gameboy stuff, and we were playing the old pokemon games, it was so fun!!

haha speaking of pokemon cards, i have a story to tell which happened today while i was in the shop buying cards

an old skid looking guy walks into the store with a bag in his hand

me and my buddy are at the desk with like 600$ worth of cards laied out in front of us, this skid walks up and opens his bag

skid: "hey so do u guys buy cards here?"

owner: yep, depending on what you got i may buy them

skid proceeds to pull the cards out of the bag

he starts with a pack of pokemon cards [obviously his kids]

then pulls out a case of hockey cards which looked like a full can of coke has spilt into them

skid: "yea really need to sell em, we need groceries bad"

owed: hmm well there's nothing i can really buy here, i only deal with rare cards mostly

skid: man, can u give me like ANYTHING for these cards? please we need some food

owner: sorry, i cant take any of them, nothing is worth anything

    skid walks out

take a lesson hipforumers, thats not somone you want to turn into when your life becomes more about getting high then succeeding lol

luongo rookie card...that is legit man. I ought to get a sakic rookie card to go with my collection of sakic memoriablia. The best piece is his stick from game 4 of the 96 cup finals

the guy at the card store had an INSANE card he said he got yesterday

    it was 1/6 ever made

it was a card with the "L" from "Luongo" from a gameworn jersey

    ranked #1 / 6 in the world

being as #1 is also his number

i'm forming a plan to break into that store and get that card!

Good time with cards when i was younger. I loved topps, and i doubt anyone knows this brand, but "flare" name brand cards sucked, they were basically paper. I collected basketball, baseball, and football. I was never too much into the game of hockey itself, but i have tons of respect for those guys who lay there bodies on the line on the ice.

I didn't even know they made Harley Davidson cards. I was never real big on hockey cards, though my brother is. I was a whiz at the Pokemon card game though. My boyfriend loves one of the Star Wars card games and with his help I'm getting better at it.

    I feel like such an inept geekgirl when I second guess myself while playing. ^_^;

I was never really into sports, never really collected cards.

My dad, on the other hand, loves baseball and has a lot of cards from when he was a kid. And he grew up in New York when the San Francisco Giants were the New York Giants and the Dodgers were in Brooklyn. We've never really looked up the value on 'em but I'm guessing they have to be worth something.

Im not proud to admit this..but i was addicted to Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I went to tournaments every saturday after noon, and won out of about 40 kids about 40% of the time, i was sick. I would trade all my crappy very rare cards to little kids for cards that actually helped me win.

ya, those fuckin bums with their dependents, fucking always whining about 'we need food' or 'the baby has a fever.' fuck 'em. if they didn't want to be poor then they shouldn't be poor....

damn man, you have a looooooong way to go in the whole spiritual/emotional developement thingy.

the real lesson there is 'that which you do unto the least of my bretheren you do unto me'*. You had the chance to feed someone who needed it, and instead bought hockey cards....
if you believe in a hell i'd be worried...

neways, i gave up the whole 'collecting things' after my 100$ POG collection became worthless basically overnight. i had a power-ranger slammer too...
hell, i'd rather just do herion. you're a lot happier when you open the pack and at least there is some inherent use to it.

I can't believe nobody said Magic: The Gathering yet. I still have boxes and boxes of cards, and I still play occasionally. The only problem with magic is the same problem with my other love; video games. Any tournaments are populated by a subculture of people that have a lot more free time to just get really really good at the game, to the point where I don't even bother.
