I was having a conversation not long ago with a good friend and we somehow got to talking about how some athletes today and ancient warriors and soldiers avoid sex before battle. I was more curious than anything and asked if the temporary celibacy was to refocus and concentrate on the upcoming mentally/physically stressful event. He argued that he couldn't relate and that he saw nothing wrong with having sex the night before, and nor did he think it would be an issue. Anyone also gone through this? Or do you just have sex like rabbits? Ie. think that it's all rather silly and in the mind. I'm curious to hear from everyone.
I don't know anything about chi energies, but I do know a few days without sex and I'm ready to kick someone's ass. Makes sense to me.
I cant beleive men are tired after sex. Most guys fall asleep seconds after cumming, but sex makes me full of energy and even unable to sleep for awhile. I guess it is like exercise and revs the metabolism up. No tired boy here
After orgasm, the endorphins stimulated by the sex act can make a guy sleepy and "tired". It varies from guy to guy - it does not usually affect me that way. Sex, if done well, is also an athletic activity, and guys who are not in good shape may be completely exhausted after finishing, as the need to orgasm takes over all body activity in a primative way. I can sometimes go over 1,000 thrusts before cumming, and may feel a little tired after that - but I am in good shape and look at being tired like an athlete does - a necessary part of doing it well.
It mainly depends on the guy, and sometimes, it seems like it depends on the time of day. With my husband, if we have sex in the middle of the day or something, it doesn't usually make a difference. Before bed, though, when you KNOW it's time to sleep and you've been up all day working, on the go, etc. so you're already tired... that seems to really do it. VERY occasionally, we'll do it in the middle of the day and then have a nap, but that doesn't happen often, usually in the Winter when there's nothing better to do, haha.
