Im looking for someone to help me think of something creative to draw for the cover of my friends zine and seeing as i am completely lacking in creativity and originality these days i was looking for a few suggestions just to give you an idea about the "style" of the project, the guy thats creating it is all about "punk rock." he also goes to tons of shows and is extremely musically inclined. He also once said "if someone put a gun to my head and asked me my political stance i would have to say anarchist." ^i only told you that to help you give me some idea of what he would like for a cover design^ i am much more of a hippie chick myself. so our styles dont exactly click. the zine will be called Asa Nisi Masa i will be eternally greatful for anyones ideas or opinions..so please please please help me out!!
First off, thats an awesome opportunity to do! So good for you. You gotta have your own creativity though. Try looking up some punk art (I have no idea where) and getting inspired. What came to my mind first was drawing really sketchy, harsh lines.. just kind of do it ya know. I draw like that sometimes, its hard to explain I guess. Using that technique you could draw like a punk guy or a punk girl... That looks really cool in my head.. maybe I helped you.. good luck!
I'd go with some collages (stuff from magazines, random patterns, "old timey" images) or maybe just drawings of random images put together like a collage. The Guided by Voices fan art section on their website has a lot of good examples. Maybe you can use them as inspiration or something. http://gbv.com/gallery2.html
