Haha, they have some mad album sleeves too. This one always makes me laugh: Kind of reminds me of James Hetfield. Check out the original Virgin killer sleeve as well. Don't know what they wanted to achieve with that  As for the music, Fly to the rainbow is the only album I've heard of them that I really dig.
Actually there's no "The". It's just "Scorpions". Klaus Meine always corrects people in his thick German accent...
Oh man, I love this band. Everything up to, and including, Savage Amusement was great. The Zoo and Big City Nights are favorites of mine. They used to have the best album covers, In Trance, Virgin Killer, Lovedrive, Animal Magnetism. Here's a video of them performing a new song from their upcoming album, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8SqDjg-4Uo I dig it.
Definately great band, I don't think i have ever heard a song by them that i didnt like... except for some of their newer stuff yuck!
Isnt that the way it is with most bands? Seems like their best stuff is always their earlier stuff, mostly anyway. And this fits with the Scorps as well. The Scorps had two of the better guitarists in the world, first with Michael Schenker, but he was a drunk idiot, and then Uli Jon Roth. But that was the early years.
