Gorgeous.. absolutely gorgeous. You can really see your pretty facial features now. I hate my hair right now, too.. I attempted to remove henna from it using mineral oil and dishwashing soap.. didn't work and now I'm stuck with fried, orange hair. I miss my old hair colour. I also hate the bangs I have right now.. waiting, waiting, waiting for them to grow out. I would consider a mohawk but I'm a wash and go kind of girl.
i just want it to grow out so bad, i think i am gonna take prenatal vitamins just to make my hair grow LOL................ maybe grab some mane and tail shampoo... i know people say nothing makes hair grow.... but ima try some shampoo and vitamin voodoo lol maybe trick myself into thinking it is growing faster
my hawk is a tid bit longer than yours and i have it and the sides dyed black...no pix at the moment but ill try to get some..and yeah i love it without the bangs,...i tried that crap too and just got rid of it..u cant do shit with them anyways..lo...at any rate u look cute with it
FunkyPhresh, I totally believe you can make your hair grow faster. It's not about defying science, it's just about maximizing your own growth potential. Eating healthy, getting lots of fruits & veggies and lean protein, drinking lots of water, taking a hair growth vitamin (like prenatal vitamins, basically just a really packed multivitamin), being extra gentle with your hair (give it lots of moisture and no dry heat) and massaging your scalp (especially with a bit of rosemary oil) are all things you can do to encourage healthy growth. Also, you might want to look into conditioner-only (CO) hair washes. There is a theory that the detergents found in most shampoos (SLS, etc) are harsh, creating a "hostile" environment for the hair follicle and inhibiting growth in some people. Some people that are balding are advised to stay away from such detergents. It could have just been coincidence, but my hair grew in noticeably faster when I first switched to CO washes a few months back. There's a thread in the Body Care forum all about it if you're interested.
All of these pictures are absolutely awesome. Very hot..I've always hada thing for chicks with hawks.
Oh man oh man! that if freaking hot! I plan on doing so in the summer, but maybe not. it all depends if I feel the same way then. I love the bangs too!
Stinging nettle is really good for promoting hair growth. Rosemary is good too. Just make it into a strong tea and use it for a rinse. (Nettle is actually an active ingredient in a lot of commercial hair-growers - rogaine, etc.)
my mowhawk grew back out..i duno what id ever do if i needed to get a job that wasnt working for my dad..lol..no one would ever hire me
You look amazing! How's the growing coming along? Do you still love your mohawk. I think it looks great. You have really good facial/head structure to have a hawk. Beautiful!
i ruv it! your hair looks great, way to join the few, the proud, the brave (girls with super short hair)
are you going to do dreads again once it grows out? just being nosey. lol Actually, i want dreads really bad, but with the job i have (substitute teaching in south carolina) I can't have messy hair long enough to do natural dreads. i don't want to backcomb again, so i will just have to wait until i get to go back to school and do my career hopefully in either editing or natural medicine.
once it grows out past my chin i would love too, but i want to see what it looks like long, no one ever let me grown my hair out when i was little it was always chin length, however i tryed my hand at making dreads with synthetic hair today and they look pretty good for a first try, they look similar to the ones in goth dread falls, but i made single dreads in natural colors with a splash of red.... i am gonna make a few sets and take turns giving myself extentions to see what my hair will look like in long dreads... should be fun =) that way my hair can grown and it wont be so boring and i wont feel the urge to die it =) or cut it HAHA i will post pics of the ones i made tomorrow, i think i left my camera in the car
here is a sample of the synthetic dreads i made last night, i only got about 6 done, they take a while most people said to steam them but i blasted em with a heat gun, they are a little krispy HAHA probably blasted em too much, so the next ones i make will probably be steamed, i think that shrinks em up into place too
