    when was your first show?
the bands can either be of the following:
SCI, GD, WSP, YMSB, phish, TLG.

    for me...
i've seen sci a bunch of times!
plenty of atlanta & birmingham shows, bonnaroo 04
i've seen the dead, minus jerry garcia, once at bonnaroo 04
i've seen wsp at jazzfest, bayfest, bonnaroo and they come down to the wharf a lot and play shows here and i've seen them in birmingham too.
ymsb, i've seen them locally here, they've played a soul kitchen a few.
phish, i have never seen, i have seen oysterhead and trey by himself, but when i was going to go see phish for the first time, they broke up, and yeah that was that, :(

and TLG, i've seen them locally also at the soul kitchen.
    the soul kitchen kicks ass.

    sooo... how about y'all?
how many shows have you seen by them??

    people still count shows?
Yonder and SCI are the largest numbers here, for me and I'd say in excess of 300 shows between them.

    good question.....

i guess i was dazzled by their virtuoisity for awhile, but somewhere along the way i realized their music just wasnt 'speaking' to me. Its hard to explain....i saw some hot shows, and always had a good time, but when i walked out after my last one, i knew i wouldnt be back...

lot of people fell the same way, doggie.
pity that others cannot respect that.

I counted shows when I was seeing the dead in the 80's. Between the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band I quit counting at about 190. I never saw the dead without Jerry and I only saw Phish a few times.

i have no idea.....the first show i saw was Boy George, and it was terrible.....i went because living in Singapore no good shows came to town.....it was either the Culture Club or Mariah Carey, i think i made the right choice....my first heady show, the first show that showed me whats up was Trey Band 7.12.01. I had just moved back from Asia and my uncles had a spare ticket and they were like, if you like the Dead and you are down with jam then you'll love this.....so i went, not knowing what was going happen. The band started, i black out in bliss and don't come back to reality until i hear the music stop. i was capitvated. that night, after years of denying Phish, saying ehh, there not the Dead.....i went home and said to my uncle mark, "show me Phish." all i could think, was if Trey is that good, Phish has to kick ass.....i wasn't wrong. Phish became and still is my favorite band. i was blessed to catch some great shows when they returned. i loved Trey's new guitar tone.....they were and are everything i want. i can go and listen to 93 show and get a whole different jam and love it, then turn on a 2003 jam and freak out a whole new way......they are my band, i love them. they get me off, like no one gets me off. other bands can get me off......but its not black and white, there are many shades of grey and Phish some how makes them purple, green, blue and red....thats how good they are.....

My first phish show was really my first introduction to jambands and I got immediately hooked after that. It was at Nassau 3-28-03 i believe. I saw them a total of 3 times, also at mansfield right before coventry and then at coventry
My first WSP show was fall 2003 I wans't all that impressed and haven't seen 'em again
My first YMSB show was summer 2004 and ive seen them one other time, hope to catch at least one of their spring shows
My first SCI show was also summer 2004 I've seen them a total of 7 times
My first TLG show was summer 2005 and ive seen them twice
