dont know if its tradition in other countries, but in england we tend to have a sunday roast, ie. roast meat n vegetables. just wondered what other people have with their veg when their families are having a sunday roast?

Some sort of quorn fillet or pie, for the most part. Then just whatever potatoes and veg is going. With bisto onion gravy (everyone else has gravy made from the meat uh something).

I grew up with roast-Sundays too. My mom still does this, and I'll have a salad along with the side-veggies everyone else is eating when I'm at her house. A handful of sunflower seeds on top for protein makes it a nearly-balanced meal.

Because of my husbands' work schedule, sunday nights are leftover nights at our house. Our big "fancy" meal is Saturday.
    love,
    mom

the way it goes in my household is the parents have their Sunday roasts and i have something along the same tracks, but vegan. so it changes from nut roasts to country pies from week to week, but all with the usual gravy, roast potatoes and veggies.
