I work for a care facility for seniors... The rich men that own it are doctors. The pay is low, & I recently found out that despite what the handbook said when I got hired...They offer no healthcare... No retirement plan..Nada, zip, zilch, bupkis...Bastards! I'm maybe going to try to school to become a CNA if I even manage to stay with it. Really does piss me off. I started partying a little again..Found out they only drug test if you get hurt..Ya know, so they don't have to pay comp. :$
My fiance was a CNA for years. The pay was "not the best" for the amount of shit she had to go through to get certified. Then once she did, her job was basically to do what ever the Nurses didn't want to do. The hours were murder too.. I'm not surprised you get no HC. It's just part of the cycle. Rich people stay rich by taking care of their own.
Almost every place of employment like that drug tests only if you get hurt (and at times has a drug test when you are first applying)...
