hey do u think its alright for a guy to wear dress pants like black dockers or just regular dress pants with a t shirt. i think it looks good but i havent worn this idea out of my house. and i dont have a full length mirror so i cant tell if it looks dumb.

    thanks

If you are confident when you go out, no one will think twice.

    Just work it. :D

If you are comfortable in it, it should be fine.

I'm sure it'll look alright.... although Dockers with some holey tie dyed top may be odd ;) but I'm sure that's not what you meant....

No issue, man. Do it. If it were me, I'd go with a tight fitting, solid t-shirt. What shoes are you going with?

    Haha..

All my boyfriend ever picks up at the thrift stores are "old man" dress pants..

If he looks rockin' in dress pants and a ratty, ol' handmade-by-his-girlfriend tie-dyed t-shirt with a baja sweatshirt over it then so can you :D.

Life is a lot simpler than it seems, m'kay?

    Be who you will.

Yeah... A friend of mine had a dad who was also a sci-fi novelist. :D He would always wear dockers and a t-shirt. I thought it was funny and that more people should try it.

Dockers are fairly comfortable for dress pants.

    Yo,

I think that the shoes that you showed us would not look right with dockers - whether they are khaki or grey / black whatever. It would just look strange. Dockers should be worn with a leather shoe. Could be a loafer or a slip on, or a boot etc. I just wouldn't wear a sports shoe with dockers.

But, if you have a nice t-shirt in a solid, darker color (probably not something with a silk screen print on it - or a t-shirt that was meant to be worn with jeans - something with a "rocker" emblem or skulls and bones, etc) I think it would look great.

So - no rocker-esque tees with dockers. And no sport shoes with dockers either - IMO.

BTW - leather belt should match your leather shoes.

T-shirt with dress pant is nowadays done, but defenly not my favourit...

Wear a classie dress shirt in the color you like. It will look much more chique ;)

Note that is you wear your dresspant with a t-shirt, a black sneaker is done!

I have a pair of black dickies pants. They are similar to dress pants, very comfy and loose, but modified a little to not look so dressy. They have jean like pockets and what not. I love them
