So I got my license on thursday. Found a fairly nice car friday ( 1996 volkswagen jetta gls for 2250) and got accepted to college with a $14k merit scholarship. Just felt like bragging a bit lmao. On the downside I may not be allowed to go under my parents insurance which would equal ass rape.
So it's official my friends and I are going to blaze tonight, a good thing just keeps getting better.
-mumbles under breath- 1-800-safe-auto Honestly though i called them to get quotes to insure my mustang....I've had like 4 accidents, no tickets, and am just an all around bad bad driver (and will freely admit it but no its not cause I'm a chick) and was trying to insure my 5spd mustang. Everyone i cdalled was saying like $180 a month. Safe auto told me it'd be $75/month. Guess who i went with? Congrats on getting into college! I remember when i got my first (and only) acceptance (well i only applied to one place!) I was stoked. Too bad it didn't last very long.
I'm in NJ and they don't offer coverage the cheapest I've found so far is Geico at $1,472.50 every 6 months. I heard about a local insurance provider call proformance that supposedly offers great rates so I'm going to look into them. Any suggestions are appreciated though.
wtfh how the hell was 180 a month for a damn mustang high? im gettin a fuckin truck and was lookin at quotes for it and its 420 somethin a month
I'm in NJ so I can't go with titan or safe auto. I think I'll probably be going with geico b/c so far they're the cheapest I can find, but I'm also getting the coverage where if you total your car and get paralyzed they basically send you a get well soon card.
Just to update I convinced my parents to put me one their insurance and now I'm paying $919 a YEAR. On another note idk how so many people on here can drive stoned, I seriously have trouble driving sober, but I guess that's part of being a new driver.
then you shouldnt even have a license you idiot glad you dont live around me. and curse you people with your private auto insurance!
lol I drive fine I'm just getting used to my car, I meant trouble mainly at night. Put me in a ford explorer the car I learned in and I could do anything, it's just adjusting to the much smaller and tighter turning jetta.
Insurance is the biggest joke in the world. In the words of Chris Rock, "Insurance is "In case" money. Now in case shit don't happen shouldn't I get my money back?" It's a shame it's essential.
