Ok...wasn't sure where to put this, so thought maybe it was just a "random thought." Feel free to move it to wherever. My Dad is in the hospital, and not doing too well. Friday night we almost lost him, and he started describing things he was seeing. So, when he starts talking about heaven and angels, he's looking into the corner of the room. Well, my sister was asking why when people claim to see angels, they're always in the corner...I swear I think I've heard someone (not necessarily on here) talking about this very topic, but can't remember the answer. So, is there any reason angels might enter the room, or appear from the corner of the room? Just curious....and if you really don't have a clue, and just want to make fun, please don't bother. Peace and Love, Bridgett
People see what they want to see and what their mind believes in at a moment of trauma. A Christian will see Jesus, a Muslim will see Muhammed, and so on. The brain is rather delusional at such a stage. So to answer your question... he sees angels at that part of the room because he wants to see angels there (possibly subconsciously)
When I nearly died, I saw myself. I *thought* that I was kind of hovering there, standing, but not really, looking at the blood pressure monitor, looking over at the bed and seeing me convulsing while the doctors and nurses ran in. For the longest time, I insisted that I had been standing up when the seizures started and was told over and over again that they had had me lying on my side in the hospital bed, rails up, padding along them due to prevent me from hurting myself. Weird.
When the brain is deprived of oxygen, such as when very near death, people will often hallucinate, and see things such as angels, or white lights. Reliogious people are more often to associate this with such. Jet Pilots pulling many G's in a test chamber without the oxygen masks also report experiences such as those reported by people claiming near death experiences. It's the brains way of handling stress. IMHO. I wish your father and your family the best.
I dont want to turn this into a religious joint, but remember that all descriptions of heaven in the Quar'an are metaphorical, and it is very unwise to to give physical depictions. Example, heaven = a garden. As in, the garden that blossomed from the seed of spirituality that we may or may not choose to plant in this life
How the F would I know? I never been there man  haha your the man Rubin, very jesus loving and blasphemous, but never the less, the man!
I am not blasphemous... that's offensive... it's like saying that Jesus sucked some major dick for candy back in the 80s while he was walking down the streets of New York and not even paying attention to the whores for which he had a passion (and a massive penis) because he needed his nose candy so much.
People who get offended by people who get offended by people who mean to offend make my penis harder than calculus.
I was thinking about that when posting my reply and I wasn't truly sure. "God" in some form, I would guess. Probably the Massiah.
