i've heard alot about Nelson, and Coombs in terms of them being mostly hippy communities anyone have any opinions?, i'd like to move anywhere in BC once i get out of the house, and the idea of a town full of hippies is awesome IMO.
Vancouver Island is a pretty big hot spot for "hippie" types. Victoria is pretty full of them, that's for sure. Great scene around here, and up towards Tofino and places like that. I also hear Nelson is great.
The Coombs and Arrington area is nice and secluded but you have to be a pot grower to live there. If your looking for a hippy community there are still a few on Lasqetie Island across from Parksville. Right now construction is booming on the island so you could probably get a job no problem but the cost of living here is pretty high. Cheers!
