Yeah man. I dig him...Mule is a great album.... but I don't know if i could classify him as jazz.... I don't think i could classify him at all.... Folk/Jazz/Blues/rock...???
I don't know actually, he qualifies in his own unique genre, much like Iggy Pop, and this skit from Coffee and Cigarrettes is awesome too. http://youtube.com/watch?v=K6Mw6b1T50U Another great song: http://youtube.com/watch?v=-gwUtEEjZJ8
He's the perfect mix of every genre, I absolutely love him. "Tango Til They're Sore" is my favorite masterpiece of his, followed by "Top of the Hill."
oh i can listen his " Rain Dogs" album all night long, again and again and again he is amazing! and i really like listening to him while i'm readin' bukowski
I really enjoy Waits. I've been to 100s of live show, but sadly have never seen Waits. I hope to soon On the day Waits was born Leadbelly died. Waits said in an interview that they waved at each other as they past by!
