Hey all, Im an 18 year old guy from England. Always dreamed of travelling over the sea to the states, Particularily NYC. I even said if I went there and liked it, that I would consider moving(I'm not sure how hard that is though). Anyway, my family arent rich so we never really go on holidays, especially one as expensive as the US. So I decided to take it upon myself to save for a trip one day, problem is, I cant find anyone else dedicated enough to take the trip with me and I think it would be weird going on my own and... scary haha. I definately want to go at some point, but maybe waiting till im something like 21 is a more reasonable choice. So yeh, definately NYC would be my first choice to visit, I'd also like to see LA, Vegas and Florida. Any advice from the good people of these boards? Would it be weird going there by myself?
Jimmy - I checked out your post here, and suggest that if your grades are good enough, that you apply to a US college to attend for a year or so, or for summer school. I saved up money when I was 19 and in a U.S. college and went to Europe for the summer, to a summer school in Norway, which was one of the best summers of my life - check out my PM to you on this subject. And include California in your list of places to go - the beaches and women are great, and there are some British pubs in Santa Monica (near the beach) in the LA area.
