Any of y'all considering or already bought your tickets for roo?

Because they're already at the third price level ($214.. good god) since the police are re-uniting and all and headlining.

Besides, camping at a KOA campground costs like $40 or $50 a night these days anyway, so the camping already covers it. I'd really like to see Lewis Black & Dave Attell.

I think Jim Bruer was there last year, as far as comedians go.... they also had a tornado that picked up tents and tossed them around like kites (whoever wasn't in them or didn't have them double/triple-staked)

And before any of you start any shit, no, MTV/Viacom/Clear Channel do not own the fest and the original creator bought part of the farm in Manchester, so they'll be able to control things better and be more consistant as far as atmosphere goes, so they're finally getting on their feet and it may be a bit deifferent this year.

theres mini-tornadoes at roo every year... but i couldn't imagine going back to my camp and thinking
    "dude, wheres my tent?"
    "wheres your tent dude?"
    "DUDE WHERES MY TENT"

that would suck, but its fun to watch em fly, hahah

i would go if i could, but i cant leave the state while I'm on probation.

I kind of wanted to go but unfortunately it always falls during a period of work which I cannot miss. Both bonaroo and 10klf. I really wanted to catch as many SCI shows as possible this summer and Bonaroo is obviously one of them...

Yeah, I'm touring and maybe following SCI, staying with family in bama, some other places, since manchester is an hour from NC/TN/GA.. I don't give a rat's ass about my job if they're breaking up. I can always get it back later or arrange another one before I even go on tour.

Yeah I wouldn't care about my job except its the long term 30 year plan. I figure with sci's winter carnival (i'm making 3 nights), plus catching a few of their summer shows once they announce espeically everything here at red rocks, I'll get a lot of cheese, but never enough. I'll be seeing Spearhead early april, I just bought 2 nights of Mule in denver at the end of April, i'll catch yonder in the summer. So I should be able to catch most of the acts from 'Roo that i'd want to see, just miss out on the festie atmosphere

Sounds good... I got my tickets too. I'm not going with anyone, but I'm stopping and chilling with some fora members along the way and meeting some there. I'm probably going to be looking for headies and athlete's foot, as I'm probably just bringing regs.

If you see a green jetta with virginia tags and a dead sticker.. bunch of other stickers, it's probably me. (well, really... how many people from virginia will be driving a green jetta)

    careful sir tokes

they do random car searches while entering bonnaroo. some searches are way more thorough than others, so be really careful about hiding it.

    i'm serrious

I wanna get tickets, but I don't know when they will be sold out, and I won't have the money for like atleast a month, so I really hope they don't sell out by then =/

Not too interested to go even though I live pretty close now. Most of the bands aren't too great and I don't feel like having to worry about cops....I'd rather save my money and go up to MN for 10KLF.

Anyone know what the roads are like heading into the 'Roo? I'd assume DEA squads line the streets.

searches arent random... every car is searched. your right though, some searches are more throught than others.

keep all drugs on you, in your pockets. dont bring a bong, or any glass!

Yeah... they usually just check your glovebox and consoles...

It's not a big deal, most of the time. No dogs or anything. If they did that, it wouldn't make any damn sense because so much money supports the community. They have to let the people in. They just worry about big-time dealers trying to make a buck there. In fact, they specifically ask you "Are you carrying any large amounts of drugs, etc. or weed"... as personal use isn't too big of an issue.

Oh yeah, and the only way I'd bring glass is if it were a bowl.. say 4 inches or under and make sure it's thoroughly clean. I use 420 cleaner and vinegar/alcohol solution just to make sure.

yea... 10klf.. i dont have to worry about any of the above.. cops were completely chill too.. they just directed traffic as people stood outside their cars drinking beer after beer waiting to get into camp grounds.. they laughed at me and my buddy as we pushed my car twords the campground entrance because it broke down while waiting sitting in a deadlock motionless line for hours.. pushed it about a mile.. but we had beers open.. they could've cared less it seemed.. saw one cop in the festival the whole time.. security could have cared less about what you were doin... and most were selling something.. i dont think theres a more chill big festy out there

Well, you have to worry about cameras at wakarusa now.

Always wanted to make 10klf, but people often exaggerate how bad Bonnaroo can be.

wakarusa made a statement on their website saying the security would be much nicer this year. i'm not too worried about it, really.
i'm done with bonnaroo. been twice, had a blast, don't wanna go again.
