So obviously stoners get steriotyped as lazy do-nothings, but even if this was true to any degree you could turn it around with a good argument. What about the ways weed can help people be productive?

When I have a lot of homework (like this week, I've been up until 2-3am working on average, with 2 complete all-nighters) I motivate myself to write the papers that I might normally put off for as much as 10 hours by rewarding myself with a smoke afterwards. As soon as I finish all my work, I smoke a bowl.

Does anyone else think that they work/study harder with the anticipation of going home and hitting that bong you've been thinking about all day?

weed makes me crave physical activity. i like too blaze and excercise, the euphoria helps me bypass my physical limits, but still keeps me aware if i'm pushing too hard

It's an intresting debate man. Weed on a physical level can make you lazy, but i've recently found out myself that it can also be great for motivating you ....honestly. i've been smokin a lot even though ive only been blazin for just over a year, and although I had smoked it on my own, i've pretty much just been smokin with a load of friends. we'd be out and about smoking, then we crash out somewhere cook a load of food, lie around, be lazy then fall asleep, so had you asked me a month ago I would have said it was very much a "lazy drug".

Then last week when I had a day off work I had a LOAD of jobs to do. Mainly little things but things that involved running around all over the place, going into town etc. Some of these little jobs I had to do I really wasn't looking forward to, so the night before a rolled myself a spliff and left it by my bedside. Then the next morning I lit it and smoked before I even got out of bed. What I found was that being in a stoned state actually really motivated me. I found that because I was stoned, I wasn''t bothered by about the errands, whatever it was that bothered me about them before and I found that instead of just lazing around like I thought I was going to I would actually get very lightly paranoid (nothing too heavy) that I wasn't going to get things done in time.
So it actually motivated me a lot. I'm pretty much sure that if I had stayed sobre that day I wouldn't of bothered getting everything done. Then when I came home I chilled out with another spliff!

I'm not saying evrytime I have a lot of errands to do i'm going get stoned but on some occations it can help. Now my view has changed. Weed is very much one of those drugs where it depends on what you make of it, whether you choose to lay around and mong out or go out there and get things done, either way it can sometimes aid you with these things.
