I have a question to all the hippies that were around in the summer of love. What was it about LSD that made people take it. Like you don't see people going hey try this heroin its great and they take it and feel love all around them. Im going to take lsd soon because i want to learn about the real world what i mean is the world we dont see the world we only see during a mystical expirence or on psychedelics or cannabis. What would you reccomend doing like il be around people some will know im tripping some wont but i dont want to make like a huge scene like ya im going 2 enjoy myself dance to music trip, look at the world and think from a different point of view but i dont want everyone knowing im tripping lik the people at the cash at the dep. Like i dont want them to be giving me weird looks.Oh ya iv done alot of shrooms so im not new to psychedelics. reason i posted here and not on lsd forums is cause i want a person's point of view that did acid or were with people doing acid back in the day when it was big like 67-69
why do you think that the world that we dont see the world we only see on psychedelics.......is the real world. why isnt the world we really live in the real world?
because are senses have a filter on them, and lsd removes this filters and intensifies the senses. Not only on psychedelics but also on mystical experiences if one is lucky to ever have one. But On any psychedelic including cannabis we pay attention to things we wouldnt normally pay attention. A Vase a flowers that has always been there but you have never paid attention too, maybe just watered it a couple of times. But while you're tripping you'l glimpse at the flowers but you wont see the normal flowers you always see you'l see colorful flowers full of life and you could look at them for hours, and as i noticed on shrooms everythin is detailed if yu look down the street you wont see anything really but if you look at the back of a leaf where all the little lines are, now that is something special. thats what i mean. Kaleidoscopes are things we dont see sober but even with a joint we can stare at them dance on the walls.

not mystical experiences that requires lsd or shrooms. But you're tellin me you'v never smoked a joint and saw kaleidoscopes on your wall. That is pretty much the only cannabis related thing on my second post and my first one cannabis is still for me a mind expandin drug because i can let my mind wander
My mind wanders yes, but it does that on it's own anyway....it's just intensified. I don't know what kinda 'erb you're smoking to see kaleidoscopes on your wall, but I would like some....
To answer your origonal question; Timothy Leary said that there are 2 key elements that you must have in order to have a successful LSD experience, set and setting. Set means that you have to be ready for the experience. You must first educate and research on what you're getting yourself into. It would be best to have an experience LSD user to coach you through the trip. You also must clear your mind before you take LSD. If you are overly worried about something that is going on in your life, or yo have something bad happen to you that week, then you're very likely to have a bad trip. Setting refers to where you are when you take LSD. You must be in a compfortable place that is private. Don't take LSD with strangers around. You should have some experienced users present that are good friends, and never take LSD if there is a posibility that you could get caught, because worrying about getting caught will make you pariniod, and you will have a bad trip. So find a safe place to take it. One more thing, if you see a bright, colorful, floating orb, don't try to go near it or touch it. Iv'e heard horror stories of people jumping off bridges to touch the light.

Dank pretty much i just smoked till im stoned out of my mind n listen 2 music n just stare at my wall and i usally see things but mayb its cuz im part psychic will i think sometimes il be sleeping at night and il see my room but my eyes are closed but il see the top my whole room or il dream about somethin and it will happen exactly the same way it happend in my dream, like exact same words use, people wearing the same thing, but the thing is i dont know how often it happens cuz sometimes it happens months be4 the actual event happens its mostly boring stuff lik i picture i see lik the front of the class or some1 sayin somethin.
I don't think there's a way to avoid people knowing you're tripping, it's a pretty crazy experience. Just do it with friends, people you trust, and away from people and situations that will bring you down. Ideal place is at a festival, during the summer, where everyone will be cool with it and no one will really think any less of you. LSD isn't about a mystical experience. You may think you are having one at the time. But when it comes down to it, it is a manufactured chemical, albeit extracted from natural ergot, which has a definite effect on the way your brain processes information. Don't expect to communicate with god or the spirit of nature or anything. Go into it knowing what you're doing, knowing that you want to have a good time and concentrating on the positives. At the end of the day, you have to have that voice at the back of your head that can bring you down from the strangest experiences and tell you, it's ok, this is just a hallucination, none of this is real and it'll be over in 8 hours or so. Also, I've heard vitamin c can help ease you out of the trip if things go a bit pear shaped....
Just remember that you dont need ANY mind altering thing (not even weed) to have a "experience" and enjoy life.
And by the way, I personally find Timothy Leary kind of a panzy. Set and setting? You cant control life, why try to control the trip? Why not see actual real LIFE from a different perspective, instead of trying to manipulate it. believe me you'll lose. Merry Pranksters is where its at!!
