So at my school there's this thing they do once a year called a "coffee house" where people play music, read poetry and the like. So I was in this one act 15 min. play this year and they made use do it. The main charecter messed up his part and made us all look bad. But then one of friends showed up and he said he was doing a blues haromica solo and says I should join him on guitar. So I'm let's do it. So we go up on stage and the guitar I was using(a friends) had a downtune low E, and I did'nt have time to dtune it. So we start a blues shuffle and instead of doing a I IV V I'm doing a IV V. S oI'm on rythem and he's doing the harmonica, then he does a turn around and we begin soloing in the form of trading 8's. It was great. And if we can be as good as we are tonight, out jazz band director might let us open up for the Navy Country Current band.
Man... I hate like... shuffling and roman numeral progressions. It's so predictable and I can hear what someone is going to do before they even do it. Like... as soon as you get the first 16 bars down, you know the song. I like to trick people and make them think.
well, because I was only using the IV V because of the donwtuned E(and if I would have down everything an octave up it would have sounded lame) I switched the rythem up instead of just the daDAdaDA.
