Anyone listen to these guys? They are crazy good. Kind of remind me of a more modern Pink Floyd with a Spanish influence. If you've never heard them you should check em out!
I enjoy them. Their original band (at.the.drive.in) did a cover of Pink Floyd's "Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk". Damn good job I think

Yeah, I loved them about 2 years ago but have since lost interest. Their first album is amazing...I haven't heard it in a while, I might go listen to it
shit youre lucky, i wish i could see em in concert but im not sure when theyre gonna come up to Seattle. btw theyre the craziest band to listen to while frying
damn that sucks i was thinkin itd be pretty cool to seem em. oh well i gess youd kinda be able to tell that since their music is heavily studio produced.(lots of effects/over dubs etc)
i thought they were amazing live. yea, they were very technical, but were able to reproduce all those crazy sounds on stage. when i saw them they opened up for system of a down, so of course people going to see SOAD play would probably think that the Mars Volta sucked, purely from the fact that they hadnt come to listen to music like that, or hear some very long instrumental solos
they toured with the rhcp last year, i almost went with my brother. he got to see them, he says they were good, but not what he expected. but then again hes used to just listening to their music
