my first tam....don't like it, but thought I would share

    I was asking arlia about how to make one of these, and this one was the first attempt. I still have yet to make the plain dc one. Hope that it turns out better than this one...

    yeah, I thought the same thing. I think I'll stit down tonight and try the one that you suggested. What size hook do you normally use btw? and do you know off the top of your head how many stitches are in your final row before you start the decrease just so I have a general idea?

    Wow I love it! Just call it a beret instead of a tam and its perfect! It looks really great on you and you're such a cutie!

    eee i dont usually count the stitches, it jsut kinda comes without thinking now :-/
    ermmmmm....
    book I usually use is a 4 i think :-/
    sometimes il change half way through though, if i change yarn.
    it all depends on the thickness of your yarn too

    thnaks everyone! lol I actually made that from a beret pattern that I found. Thought I could kinda "blend" then two....didn't work so well, lol

    It's always a bit tricky to combine two patterns together, but usually the experiments turn out kinda cool ~ or at the very least, quite unique!
