Anyone fond of this group? After checking the bonnaroo '07 artist list I downloaded some of his stuff and find it really great. My favorite song by him is probably 'Alone', the overall instrumentals just sound awesome and the lyrics just add to the experience. So if anyone likes these guys, what is your favorite song by them? Ever see them life? If so, how was the show? Any other info you wanna discuss about them would be cool.

Ever seen 'Pleasure and Pain'? My favorite songs are:Less, Jah Work, Burn One Down, Beloved One (live version's best), Burn to Shine just to name a few if you want to download some. Check out the album 'Welcome to the Cruel World'. The band is awesome and Ben Harper is great on slide guitar. He's also an excellent vocalists, one of the best in my opion.

I said that the first time I saw it, however, I was on mushrooms and it was playing games with my head.

Will download them after I get home from school and smoke ^.^

    Agreed.

I prefer his stuff with the Blind Boys of Alabama.

I don't really like Ben Harper solo... it depends on who he's collaborating with.

I tend to prefer Xavier Rudd as far as Weissenborn slide goes... he's generally got more edge and more of a point. Plus he plays the didge, bass drums, etc. all at the same time by himself, solo. I've seen them both live and just prefer Xavier's vibe. If he's playing with another band, he'll come out during the other band's intermission and play the whole time... etc. He often does No Woman, No Cry during intermission.

By the way, myself and some other folks from the fora will be chilling at Roo.

And I'm sure I'll run into plenty of unknown/unspoken ones from the fora.

Yeah.... the ticket prices are killing me... going all the way up to $214 this year because of the police headlining and their reunion. That still isn't too bad if you consider what it usually is at most campgrounds like KOA or whathaveyou these days, especially since there's always a little bit of something for everybody.

It's going to be stellar, though, for the size, this year... just because they own the property now.

I usually read the infroroo/roo proboards alot. There's some crazyass festival stories on there.

    Aaahha... read this one
