Who are more promiscuous? Men or Women?

I swear...in my life...it seems like women sleep around a lot more than the guys i know...or maybe it's just because i hang out with the "nerdy" crowd....what about ya'll??

 

Well its simple...guys hope they can fuck a girl... girls know they can fuck any guy usualy..

 

yeah. but who ends up having sex with more people in the end? men or women? that's the real question

It has been said that a woman needs a reason to have sex, a man just needs a place.

 

Well, if we limit the discussion to speak only of heterosexual sex here, then I would wager that men and women are having exactly the same amount of sex!

Interesting point. Mathematically, the number of partners would have to be the same for men and women, as well as 1 man and 1 women for each time a sex act takes place....therefore it would seem that it's all equal.......I find one flaw in this though.

OK...say there is a group of 10 men and 10 women, as an example....now, I'm no genius, but I'm willing to guess there will be a certain number of virgins in each group....and I'm also willing to guess that there will be more virgin women than men..OK so for the sake of argument let's say that 5 of the women are virgins, and 5 have had sex with at least one partner.....ALL of the men on the other hand have had sex with at least one partner (all heterosexual of course, on both sides). OK...so that means that the total number of times that the women as a whole have had sex is equal to the total number of times that the men as a whole have had sex......let's set this number at 15....so between all the 20 people.....15 times, a sex act has occurred. OK. So now if you divide the total number times men had sex, by the total number of men you get 1.5 , or this is the average number of times each man who had sex, is having sex....but if take the same number (15) and divide it by the number or women who had sex, 5, you get 3 , a number twice as big as the 1.5 average. Therefore it would appear that in the group of people having sex, women are more promiscuous....................... SO! the real question is....who has more virgins.....men or women? My guess would be WOMEN!!!....which would explain why to me, the ones that are having sex seem to be more promiscuous.

Here's the problem with the way you are doing it - you can't just not count the women who didn't have sex at all when you determine the "average" number of times each has had sex. There are still 10 women, even though 5 didn't have sex at all - so you still take the 15 sex acts divided by 10 and get an average of 1.5 per woman.

The point you are essentially trying to make though, which is true, is that it's possible that you can have a few sluts and a bunch of virgins, and still get every man laid. But the point I'm making is that in order for straight sex to occur, there has to be a man and a woman involved every time, so on average (and that is averaging everybody of course), both sexes are equally slutty.

 

yes, you are correct.....I guess it all comes down to how you want to look at it......I know in my life, I have never cheated on any of my girlfriends, and yet, most of them have cheated on me...I know what you're thinking, that must be my fault....but seriously...It seems like men get the bad rap, when in my own life, it seems like the opposite is true...I was hoping others would have something to say about this as well...

I have a lot of friends of both sexes. My girl friends have had way more sex with way more people than any of my guy friends. Generally, I've had more partners than the men I've been with. (The whole "I'll tell mine if you tell yours" bit)

I agree with E T. It's easier for a woman to get sex whenever they want as a whole, at least in my experience and the experience I see my male counterparts having.

Women - I saw how many this one girl had sex with in this other thread, so it drastically altered my opinion!

 

definitely men... they just aren't outwardly condemned by it as women are.
it can be kept a secret (either that or people don't really care) with men, but when women sleep around, they're automatically labeled "sluts"
