woke up this morning and decided to cut off my hair

i had gone several months without getting a haircut, trying to get it back to shoulder length. but this morning i woke up and decided its just easier to go back to cutting it myself to an almost-bald shortness. i like my hair either really short, or really long, but the months of in-between suck. plus i needed a haircut to trim up the back to prevent excessive mulletism, and kept putting it off for a lack of money and time. and i hate spending money on shampoo and stuff.

at the drop of a hat i just shaved it all off. feels nice....its not the same as cutting it all off when i've got a really looooong head of hair, but its still a refreshing transformation.

i love cutting my hair myself, especially this short. its almost a spiritual transformation....a baptism of sorts.....a feeling of being new, reborn somehow. especially when you're losing a significant amount of hair.

another big factor, apart from the pleasure of cutting it off, the ease and affordability of maintanance, is that warm weather is coming up, and i'll love being able to drive with my windows down without my hair getting tangled, not having to pull my hair back at work or when i'm out in the sun, and not having a dark tan on my face but a pasty white neck

so heres to hairlessness!

(oh yeah....and when i decided to cut my hair i also was remembering one of the most beautiful girls i'd ever known when she saw me after doing this after no haircuts for 2 years....i believe her exact expression was "whoa........" she later explained that long hair looks better on me than many guys, but if i want to get the ladies she recommended i keep it short who knows...this is a minor reason, but still.....can't hurt, i guess!)

 

Yea, I always keep my dome sliced fresh and if I cant afford to get it down I do it myself
Im due for a cut right now actually, but I got served for court, AGAIN, next Friday, so it looks like I'll be doing it myself.

 

We always cut both of our sons' hair, no sense in paying someone to do it, it's easy enough to do yourself. I just trimmed my daughter's ends last week, but that's it, she's never had an actual hair cut.

 

I cut my sons hair too :tongue: but I just trim the back so he doesnt have a mullet haha. But the Ex did it last time, and she is actually mad good at doing haircuts, yea I hate to admit that shes actually good at anything, but its the truth!

 

i just cut off 33 inches off my head last thursday... donated it all to locks of love! this is the first time my hair is any shorter than the middle of my back
