I'm 20 years old and I just decided that I'm a person who's interested in folky music. Listened to commercial stuff for years and really want to discover artists which are unknown to the crowd (or seem unknown). I want to have the feeling tat this particular song is made for you because no-one ever heard it, know what I mean?

Artists I listen to a lot: U2, Tori Amos, Madonna, Red Hot Chilli Peppers: all the regular charts topping music.
One exception: I absolutely love Joni Mitchell, she's my favorite artist of all time. Can't remember how many times I listened to 'Blue'.

Please: drop names of artists and songs on me so I can broaden my world. Thanks!

Thanks everyone! I got a hell of a lot new music on my pc, burnt it randomly on cds and listened, listened and listened...

Joan Baez is really something, Joni Mitchell-esk but different in a way I can't explain. More campfire, more happy. I wondered why I had never heard from her before. I also added Phil Ochs to my list, he's absolutely brilliant, too sad he died only at the age of 35...

Thanks again. What's better than new music?
