GOD I love it! It's seriously simple. No icons, no clutter, just simple, yet funcional.

Install both KDE and fluxbox together on the same distro. Use the Apps on KDE uising fluxbox by yoing the name of the app you want in the terminal. Use Konqueror as your file browser, and it works like a dream!

Just a little thing for you linux users out there.

fluxbox is indeed powerful. i prefer to go out full minimalist X or full graphic effects X though. when i say full minimalist, i mean 3 terminal windows, no icons, no menu. if you want to open a program you gotta type the command. thats my power-top

Over the last 10 years I have probably tried all of the linux desktop managers at least once. If I were using an older system with low memory, I'd probably go with FluxBox, Afterstep or similar, but my system is fast enough that Gnome works just fine and it has several features the lite desktop managers just don't have, so I will stick with it for the time being.

I must have icons on my desktop .
That's why I prefer XFCE or IceWM (with Rox filer)

I understand there's a way to have desktop icons in flux ,but I never managed...
