Hello everyone! I love the look of this forum. As you can see from my title i am new here, from Canada, a really small town in canada too! lol I have recently begun to learn the technique of meditation. I don't think i am very good at it. My friend told me that i need something called meditation beads, and i found some here NO SPAM ALLOWED ON THIS SITE! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED - Webmaster but i still don't understand the use for them? Dunno, maybe i am just not cut out for it. How do you guys chill out and relax? Thanks all Peace out LS
hey lilistark , welcome to the forum i hope you enjoy yourself here , i personally haven't tried any forms of meditation although i do hope to soon , i usually just relax by sitting/lying down eyes closed listening to music (usually pink floyd , alot of their songs get me really relaxed) , nice to have you here peace and love
The beads I think are useful in meditations which have techniques that consist of multiple parts. This way you don't have to use your mental abilities (thus disturbing the meditation) for counting the parts and phases - for example breathing 4 times deeply out and in, then 5 fast breaths etc.. but instead you can just always move the fingers to next bead in your hand.. an effortless movement and it lets you focus on the empty mind and breathing and all that. Though I have not used them myself, but hey, I guess it's better to have information about someone who has just surface knowledge than no information at all, eh? - Vortac
