has anyone ever experienced this? two nights ago, during the last 30 seconds of intercourse prior to my orgasm I began experiencing the worst headache I've ever experienced. Mind you I NEVER get headaches or sick at all for that matter. It continued to intensify up until the point of orgasm and when I did, I was practically at the point of tears. What scares me is that it was an accute pain - a spot about the size of a silver dollar about three inches up and one inch forward towards the temple from my left ear. It felt like blunt trauma to a certain portion of my head - not your typical headache. This followed with a period of severe dizzyness and paleness on my part where I tried to drink fluids and keep things together, but the pain was so severe that all I could do was lie down in bed feeling nauseaous, holding/stroking where it hurt until I passed out. This occurred about 30 minutes following the initial sex, and i didn't wake up for almost ten hours later. If it makes a difference, there were no drugs or alchohol in my system - I had a very relaxing day walking on the snow covered beach and a nice lunch with my partner. The following day, I was dizzy all day, but made it through work, came home, cooked dinner, but shortly after dinner felt rather dizzy still and passed out for another ten hour sleep. Mind you, I only sleep about five to six hours on a normal night. Today (two days after the first episode) I had a great day skiing, came home, made dinner and had sex with my girl shortly after and felt fine at the start, but again right before orgasming I experienced a severe and intensifying accute head ache in the exact same spot. Tonight it didn't result in nasuea or dizzyness, but it was pretty darn accute and painful for a short bit and now it still aches badly a few hours after. sorry in advance for the length of this thread, but the circumstances are pretty alarming to me as I have never had any sort of health problems. If anyone has had a similar experience, I would like to hear about it. I guess I'm just a bit scared because of what the pain was. It literally felt like a severe throb and brainswell like what I imagine a hockey player would experience from a concusive crack of their head on hard ice. very intense and very accute, like nothing I have ever experienced. thanks in advance for your input
hello my husband had a few occasions where when he came, he felt a shooting pain up the back of his neck extending to the top of his head....it scared him...it happened a few times. he went to the doc and subsequently to an osteopath who seemed to help... there is a name for this complaint...(if its the same as he had)....I will try and get the link for you and post it.. it is called bening coital headaches (just spoke to my man) and it is recommended that you abstain from sex for a while....sorry!!! go into google and type bening coital headaches... if in the meantime I can find the link I will post it here.. do you find it happens too when you masturbate...my hubbie did good luck!!
here is the link....hope it helps...dont worry.... http://healthgate.partners.org/brow...title=Sexual headaches: from ecstasy to agony
I very much appreciate the information. I've never experienced anything like this before and will have to see if I have the same symptoms during masturbation. Last night I hid the pain from my girlfriend afterwards as it is somewhat embarrasing and even though its no fault of hers, I know she felt kinda bad on Monday night when she saw me suffer. Perhaps I'll try the advil before sex like is recommended in the article. Hopefully abstinance is not necessary. Honestly one of my greater concerns is this becoming a mental issue. It is a pain so severe that I fear it to an extent and don't want that to become a dominant issue. Thanks again for your feedback
My husband took the docs advice and abstained for 3 weeks....*groan* lol But all is well now.......just be careful..... Wishing you luck....
Wow! I would have never expected a doctor to say this. Bravo to him. Anyhow, from a male perspective that is very well verse in this area. I know that people don't want to hear that to much sex or mastubation is not good, but what happens is you actually deplete your body of energy or Chi. Am I joking, nope. What happens biologically is that your body produces excess hormones, their are many treatments but I always suggest natural. Here is a site that has many many people talking about sexual disfuctions. you don't have to buy their product but the info is pretty good. In fact their are many remedies you can make yourself, but holding off for a while is good because it will allow your bodies endocrine system to balance itself out again. Don't think that this guy has anything special at his site it is just convieniently mixed together for people. You can buy all the ingredients cheaper separately. http://www.actionlove.com/extra/over.htm#over-masturbation Tai Chi is also a great excersize to build up your Chi again this will help to balance your physical body out quicker. Western culture is going to have to start realizing that treatments that are thousands of years old do work and western medicine is very very young and also very corrupt because of the money that is being made. Use common sense and your inner guide . And you will make the right decisions.
Well, tomorrow is my doctor's appointment. After reading the advice you gave, which I'm very grateful for thank you, I made a doctor's appointment that day for tomorrow - earliest I could get at the time. I'm hoping that what you've mentioned above is the recommendation and all I need. Well, not hoping as afterall, if you have a great sex life, why would you want to give it up for three weeks? I know myself and my girlfriend certainly don't want that. However, what we both want is an answer. If that's all I have to deal with, that would be great as its been a tough couple weeks. I'm pretty certain that it is just the benign coital headache, but I don't know. What I do know is that it happens during both masturbation and sex and if I don't take at least 1000mg of ibuprofen a couple hours before hand, the pain is unbearable and literally throbs for up to ten hours after. If I forget to take the advil, once I've 'done the deed' the amount of advil I take after no matter how much bearly makes a dent in the throbbing. Even with the drugs taken a couple hours beforehand, it still does hurt some - there's been no escaping at least some discomfort for almost three weeks now. I guess what scares me the most is that it happens in the exact same spot - very accute, the size of quarter on my head and when its been real bad, my vision in my left eye becomes blurry and the muscles around that eye become tired and noticeably droop. Okay off track, sorry if this is TMI for anyone who reads it. I guess what I am trying to say is THANK YOU to those who have responded and wish me luck at the doc's tomorrow.
What did the doctor say they were? What kind of treatment are you getting? I'm really sorry to hear all this is happening to you. I hope they are under control and you are pain free.
