    have any one seen that it was made in the 70s i think, it was great movie..

    It's got a massive cult following here in the UK. I think we just like watching Edward Woodward ge burned alive ;)

    there a play going round the uk at the moment called the whicker woman, biggest piss take going!

    i think it was a fairly good represenation of a pagan community and showed how people (edward woodward) can be intolerant to cultures they see as different.

    Interestingly, people always see this movie as pro-pagan, and a representation of a pagan community, but always seem to forget that the whole thing was one gig con by Lord Summerisle to keep the people happy!

    I've watched this movie a few times... I'm yet to form a firm opinion on it though...


    It is indeed an interesting film though..
